Steve has over 30 years of people management experience, both public and private sectors. He’s an all-round HR specialist within neo:pm.
After 7 years in the Royal Air Force, Steve moved into northwest social housing during the sectors private finance initiative and investment movement. Steve then joined Littlewoods as HR Director, during their modernising movement, in retail, logistics and supply chain solutions. Shortly after, returning to public sector HR at Cornwall College whilst regularly partaking in national HR education projects.
Alongside Steve’s career, he became the inaugural Chair of the 157 HR Group, leading initiatives focusing on carbon reduction and sustainable operations. Recently, Steve’s become a HR specialist guest speaker at conferences across the country and by invitation, a lecturer for Exeter University.
Rob is our Client Director, bringing over 35 years experience of working in Education to our team. He’s held senior client-facing roles in a range of companies including: IBM, Granada and Yorkshire Television, HarperCollins and Nelson Thornes Publishing. Rob has international education success in South East Asia and Northern Ireland, leading a team awarded 2001 UK Education Partnership Of The Year.
Rob’s recent position was Development Director for Cornwall College. Working with Cornish Schools to transition their students successfully into post-16 education whilst growing opportunities for international student education.
Outside of his career, Rob has been a longstanding governor at Penrice Academy for the last 10 years and previously sat on the board of Young Enterprises South West.
Payroll Operations Director
Mike has over twenty years experience in payroll. Starting with the Co-operative Wholesale Group when it was split from the Co-Op. In this role he managed payroll over eight locations with local input and central processing unit.
Moving to ICI, Mike continued in payroll gaining valuable experience in a blue chip company. He was instrumental in the process of centralising the payroll in one service centre and overseeing a payroll of more than six thousand employees spread over two hundred and fifty locations throughout the UK. Recently becoming a specialist in auto enrolment and bringing in a new global HR system to integrate with the existing payroll. Mike also holds a certificate of payroll management from the Institute of Payroll Professionals.
Senior HR Consultant
Nick is our senior HR policies and practises expert within our education HR team. Applying his professional experience and qualified knowledge to keep our HR updated with current trends.
He is highly qualified expert with a Masters Degree in HRM, teamed with over 13 years experience within the industry. Specialisms include resourcing, operational policies and restructuring within organisations, particularly in public sectors and education.
Previously Nick started his HR journey with a career in recruitment, whilst also gaining large organisational and local experience in Operational HR for an international manufacturer and delivering bespoke solutions to local commercial companies.
Janine joins the core operational HR team in Cornwall after being seconded to work exclusively with the Special Partnership Trust. Janine has over 10 years’ experience in leading a recruitment team in the NHS where she developed expertise in process review, system implementation, facilitation of recruitment events and candidate attraction through a variety of methods. More recently she has practiced generalist HR, developing policies and procedures, managing absence, performance and employee relations.
Ewa has more than 9 years experience working for one of the largest workforce businesses in the world. Ewa was based on site at a commercial client and was responsible for providing HR support to the client and their candidates. She has experience in recruitment, performance and absence management, employee engagement, disciplinary and grievance processes.
Ashley is a resourcing specialist with extensive experience developing and delivering recruitment campaigns across a broad range of sectors. His work includes recruiting high quality staff at all levels, as well as managing agency solutions in the health and hospitality sectors. Ashley has had particular success utilising new media to attract both volume and quality candidates for his clients. Ashley will lead a Neo resourcing team to develop Neo’s iTrent recruitment software to deliver managed recruitment and agency solutions to education clients.
